This study aims to examine factors associated with marital satisfaction in the context of cultural shifts. Results showed that couples in Taiwan have adopted a conjugal model rather than the traditional culture in evaluating their marital relationship. The spousal relationship has become the primary dyad in marriage, but the extended families remain influential on marital relations.
