Expectations of Costs and RewardsStudents Versus Practicing Social WorkersDepartment of Social Work at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Beer Sheva, Israel, rachellv{at}bgumail.bgu.ac.il This study compares Israeli social work students' perceptions of the rewards and costs of working in the profession with those held by Israeli senior social workers. Questionnaires examining this issue were administered to 91 participants. Findings indicated that students' perceptions were significantly higher than senior social workers' perceptions.
